While the process of wedding planning and getting married were full of joy, they were also painful reminders of the loss I've felt from relinquishment and my subsequent adoption, and make me question what it means to be a daughter, a wife, and part of a new family.⁣

Words cannot begin to express how fucking bummed out I was when I woke up to rain the morning of the wedding. I knew it was coming but I was still hoping for a miracle. Little did I know that miracle would be @samlesserphoto.

Sam, not only are you an amazingly bad ass human, but you are a beyond talented photographer. These photos are breathtaking, full of love and sunshine, and uniquely ours. I can’t begin to tell you how grateful I am that you were there to capture our special day. I fucking love you.
